Our experiment in Q3 of 2021 shows 2.07g/kWh (Marijuana dried product) production under Lightera® LED grow light G5, which double than 1.05 g/kWh under HPS.
It is clear to us that LED lights convert more electrical energy into light and less into waste heat. In addition, Lightera® LED grow light G5 provides a spectrum that is more tailored to the needs of cannabis being cultivated.

For all the artificial light sources, LED is the only one of which spectrum can be tailored till now.
LED is a semiconductor light source that emits light when current flows through it.
The color of light emitted from a semiconductor die is determined by the combination of chip materials, or we use a phosphor material to convert monochromatic light from a blue or UV LED to broad-spectrum white light.
Comparison to HPS, we added blue light with peak wavelength 450nm, red light with peak wavelength 660nm and far-red light with peak wavelength 730nm to enhance photosynthesis. Besides, the red light with 700nm was cut down to weaken its negative affection on plant growing.
